TEETH: Spoken Word Workshops

Location:
Afro American Cultural Center, Founders Room See map
221 Park Street
New Haven
Event Description:

Want your voice to be heard? Interested in spoken word poetry? Join Yale’s TEETH Poets to watch spoken word poetry in action, participate in small group workshops with TEETH performers, and hone your poetry writing skills. This is a special 3-part TEETH Slam Poetry workshop series for students in grades 8-12. These workshops will culminate in a  (optional!) performance in early December with our group to write and create with us. We will have a variety of writing prompts, movement prompts, collage practices, and more to foster a space where we can create and grow with each other. This is the third year that TEETH will be running workshops through Pathways to Arts & Humanities and we always look forward to seeing both familiar and new faces at our workshops!

These workshops are now full. Check back in spring for more spoken word poetry events!
