Writing a personal statement or essay for college applications can be difficult and confusing, and STEM Mentors is here to help!  At our College Essay Workshop, we’ll be introducing common techniques for writing college essay (as well as common mistakes to avoid) and giving students a chance for feedback from our Mentors.  This is the first event of a two-part series on College Essay Writing.  At this first event (Oct. 26) we will give a presentation on the essay writing process and students will work through example essays with our Mentors.  At the second event (Nov. 17), we invite students to return with their essays and work one-on-one with our Mentors to improve their writing. Students are welcome to attend one or both events, but please register separately for both.
Free admission. Open to high school students. Registration opens in October at onhsa.yale.edu/essay2019.
