Event Description: 

Join us for an exciting Science on Saturdays talk by Professor Susan Baserga (Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry) on “The Promise of Poop.”
Yale Scientific Magazine’s /Synapse/ will lead fun hands-on science demonstrations from 10am - 11am and the talk will take place from 11am noon. Science on Saturdays is hosted by Professor Kurt Zilm. 
About Susan Baserga: A veteran Bulldog, Susan received her B.S. in Biology, M.D., and Ph.D. in Human Genetics at Yale.  Susan remains an active member of the community, currently as an Associate Professor with a primary appointment in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry and joint appointments in the Departments of Genetics and Therapeutic Radiology.  Susan’s cutting-edge Human Microbiome research focuses on how fecal transplants can be developed as treatments for curing disease.

Science on Saturdays is an award-winning lecture series that features scientists whose passion for their work inspires us all. Each event involves a lecture by a Yale professor and engaging science demonstrations by Yale college students. Science on Saturdays provides an opportunity for Yale scientists and residents of New Haven and beyond to come together over a shared sense of wonder. Directions & Parking: Sterling Chemistry Lab is the building on the left of the driveway at 225 Prospect. Proceed into the main entrance and up the main staircase. Parking will be available on the street along Prospect, at the Yale Whale Ice Rink, and in Lot 16 at the corner of Whitney & Humphrey.
