Event Description:

The Yale Science Diplomats are proud to announce the second talk in its “Science in the News” series: “Our Future in the Cosmos: Living Beyond Earth”.  Have you ever dreamed of being an astronaut or living on another planet? Do movies like The Martian, Interstellar, and Passengers make you jump (weightlessly) for joy? Us too! But how close are we to boldly going where no one has gone before? Three Yale scientists will discuss the reality of space travel and colonizing planets. How do we find planets outside of our solar system? If we found a planet that could be our new home, what technology would we need to make the journey? And once we reached the planet, what would it take to live there? We’d like to thank you for choosing Science in the News and we hope you enjoy learning about your future in the cosmos!
