Event Description:

Every Tuesday night, the Leitner Observatory presents planetarium shows for $5, and, if the skies are clear, opens up the telescopes for public viewing of stars, planets, and nebulae at the end of twilight. Planetarium shows start at 7pm and 8pm, and the telescopes are open from 7pm to 10pm, weather permitting.
Check out the Leitner’s twitter feed (twitter.com/lfop) to find out if it will clear enough for observing on a given Tuesday night. The Leitner Obersvatory is also sometimes open to the public on other nights for special celestial events (such as eclipses, comets, etc.) or for special lectures, classes, etc.
