Exploring Artism: A Program for Families

Event Description: 

This is a free program for families with children who are five to twelve years of age and on the autism spectrum. Participants look at an artwork in the museum’s galleries and create a follow-up art project in a museum classroom. A quiet room is available through the session with blankets and sensory toys. While the needs of individuals with autism are taken into account, the activities are intended to be fun for parents, siblings, caregivers, and other relatives too!
