All-City Honors Ensembles Winter Concert

The Yale Music in Schools Initiative, in collaboration with New Haven Public Schools, offers the All-City Honors Ensembles on Saturdays during the school year. Students selected by audition participate in choir, orchestra, and band. During the three-hour program running from Fall through Spring, graduate teaching artists and New Haven teachers instruct and mentor students in large ensembles and chamber music as well as sectionals and electives in composition and music theory. More than 200 students are participating in these ensembles, representing about 1% of all students in New Haven.
